General Motors ramping up production of Model 3.

General Motors Co is ramping up production of Chevrolet Bolt electric cars at a factory north of Detroit and is on track to start delivering vehicles as promised by the end of the year, company officials said on Friday. The car will be the first of its kind to have a driving range of more than 200 miles at a price starting at $40,000. Another competitor in the electric car market, Tesla, will launch its Model 3 next year.  CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, said that the company is set to build up to 500,000 Model 3 sedans per year. According to Musk 400,000 people have already made deposits on Model 3 vehicles.
